Amazing place.

The red soil, roads carved across the flat terrain like arteries.

Road trains - 2, 3 or 4 trailer-long trucks barreling across the emptiness.

Huge mining equipment, looking like play toys in the great flat expanse.

That looks like fun! I've explored the eastern seaboard of Australia, never made it out west.

It reminds me of a recent trip across northern Labrador on the trans-Labrador highway.

Hi Mike - I have always wanted to see Labrador - it's on my list of places to go. Australia is so large, and so diverse, I feel like I only saw a small corner of it even though I spent quite a long time on the eastern and western coasts. I missed out on the entire center section, and really want to go back and see more ... plus visit the amazing places I went already ... so I'll need at least another 4 months, I've decided.
